65% say aging in place is a  goal of theirs. But only 33% believe they will.

Barriers to the perceived ability to age in place are both functional and emotional 

NORCS - A new kind of older adult community: A NORC is a Naturally Occurring Retirement Community, abbreviated as NORC, is a building or neighborhood in which there are a substantial number of residents aged 60 years or older.

Researchers have referred to NORCs as “untapped resources to enable optimal aging at home,” with the potential to build social networks and integrate supportive community programs.
